Lynne Babbitt Counseling
Professional, Practical Counseling in a
Peaceful, Private Environment

For over 20 years I have helped individuals, couples, and families find solutions to help enrich their lives, achieve personal growth, and build meaningful relationships. I practice in a holistic way that honors the influences of our minds, emotions, bodies and spirits. I sincerely believe that anyone who wants to live an intentional, fulfilling life can benefit from quality counseling.

Counseling can take place via phone, FaceTime, Skype, or in my Lancaster County, PA office. All sessions are the same hourly rate, no matter how delivered or how many people are in the room. Extended sessions are available upon request; couples often find it valuable to have the extra time to relax and dig deeply into the subject at hand. I enjoy sending people home with follow-up papers to read or occasional assessments; these can be emailed to distance clients.

I recommend that clients come in as regularly as possible in the beginning of therapy, typically weekly, as we build momentum in reaching goals. Then the plan is to lengthen the time in between sessions as progress is made. However, I certainly appreciate limitations of schedule and budget, so scheduling decisions are totally client-driven.

Some people come to counseling to work on one specific thing, such as a career change or a decision about a person they are dating. Others come in to address hindrances that keep them from living their lives to the fullest, or to work on resolving strife or distance in important relationships. Many people return to counseling during different seasons of life in order to continue investing in their own personal growth and development.

About half of the work I do has relational themes:
  • Pre-marriage
  • Marriage
  • Divorce and Remarriage
  • Step-Family
  • Parenting

I also work with many individual issues, such as:
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Anger
  • Sexual Struggles
  • Grief
  • Healing Past Pain
  • Eating Disorders
  • Career and Purpose Planning

I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Family Systems Theory with adults and adolescents. My goal is to offer my clients caring support, practical tools, and uplifting wisdom.
